She's one of President Obama's most loyal and lucrative supporters and with the re-election race reaching the final straight; Anna Wintour is stepping-up her fundraising efforts.
Following the success of the 50-guest $40,000-a-head dinner she co-hosted with Sarah Jessica Parker at the actress's Manhattan townhouse last month, Wintour is busy planning a follow-up soiree, this time with movie mogul, Harvey Weinstein.

Invites have gone out for the August 6 dinner to be held in Greenwich, Conneticut, home of many a hedge-fund manager, which is fortunate because although tickets are considerably 'cheaper' than for SJP's event, at $35,800-a-head, they're not for everyone.

It's not the first time Wintour and Weinstein have teamed up for an Obama fundraiser. Last year the pair co-hosted a $71,600 dinner at the West Village home Weinstein shares with his British wife, Marchesa designer Georgina Chapman, attended by Gwyneth Paltrow, Alicia Keys and Quentin Tarantino.
Earlier this year, the US Vogue editor was revealed as one of President Obama's top-tier fundraisers after having raised in excess of $500,000 for the re-election campaign. That was before the SJP dinner and the launch of her Runway To Win initiative for which she enlisted a host of the US fashion world's leading lights including Marc Jacobs, Diane von Furstenberg, Jason Wu and Alexander Wang to create 'Obama-inspired designs' to boost the campaign coffers.
